Ice Rink Temporary
Closure
The
Directors of Lanarkshire Ice Rink have taken the difficult decision to close
the rink until Curling can recommence.
Curling,
apart from under 18s and individual practice cannot take place as long as South
Lanarkshire remains in Level 3 of the current Lockdown Restrictions. As it is
financially unsustainable to provide ice for Skating alone the Rink will close
until January.
The
Directors will continually reassess the situation in the coming weeks and are
hopeful that they will be allowed to provide ice for both Skating and Curling
early in the new year.
